SNOW....IN JUNE???

We are in Aurora (Denver) this morning. Was so glad to get here safe last night. First thing yesterday morning, we woke up to rain. The Flying J where we stayed was at the bottom of the Great Salt Lake and at the base of a mountain. We looked up and there was snow on top and it was 40 degrees, good thing I left a few warm clothes on the truck from when we went home . Got unloaded in Salt Lake at 2:00 in the afternoon and started for Aurora. Going out of Salt Lake, it started snowing on us as we climbed up the summit and was already on the ground and rooftops. Was beautiful to look at!!! It turned back to rain as we went down thank goodness. Came up on a beautiful rainbow and we could actually see where it started from the ground. There was this awesome glow on the ground from which it started. Neither of us have ever seen the beginning of a rainbow before, kinda neat to see more firsts together. Didn't have time to stop to look for that pot of gold :) Trying to get a good picture of the rainbow, I missed something special on the other side of the road. While I was fooling with the camera, Ricky said, look... and on the other side of the road were two MOOSE !! Of course I couldn't get a picture of them, :(
As we got on in to Wyoming the winds picked up and there were signs warning light loads of high winds. We were light when we started and even lighter after SLC. Ricky was having a time staying in his lane. We ran most of the day in daylight. When we got to Cheyenne it was just getting dark and we were 100 miles from Denver. More signs of high wind warnings as we headed down I-25. Ricky has had practice in PA from high winds thank goodness. Got on in to our delivery ,got backed into the dock and went to bed. Ricky slept hard he was so tired.
We will be unloaded soon and off to a new destination...hopefully with some extra time, We need a shower break and laundry stop some time today. I'll be back with an update later...gotta get ready to roll...batton down the hatches and all that good stuff. :) :)

Looking into the bright sun.....Belinda
