LOVELY MICHIGAN
Well, we got a dispatch to go just out of Syracuse, NY, but it wasn't until Friday morning. So we went to the casino to have a little fun. We took our friend, Andy, he drives for Conway too, and had a bite to eat and play the quarter slots. Had fun, won a little and lost it back, but we never risk much, no more than a night at the movies. The Turning Stone Casino is a really big place. Is a pretty place too.

So we went and got our beer load, was a trailer load of Molito, going to Howell, MI. just west of Detroit. A HEAVY load. Had to be here this morning at 5:30. Got here a hour early and they wouldn't open till 6:00, so sat a little on the street and watched all the trucks come to wait too. Got unloaded really fast though, that is always a plus.

So we are in a empty lot just up the road. Shopping and restaurants nearby and another driver for Conway here too. We are 23rd on the board, : ( , looks like a long weekend in the lot, was hoping for good long run for the weekend.

Thursday was our Kelly's sweety ,Brian's, birthday, gave them a call and they were trying out a new restaurant that they said was a fun place. Wild animals making sounds and Kelly said great Pina Coladas, they have alot of choices in and around Indy, I forgot the name of the place they were at, something about The Woods? Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, again, Brian :)

Got to see my first live, wild, porcupine walking down the side of the road in New York yesterday on our way to Michigan. Saw several wild turkeys too. A local hunter at Verona had killed a 20 pounder Friday morning, he was telling us about it while we were getting coffee at the gas station.

Well, guess I'll get off and crochet on my project I'm working on while I have this down time. Catch you up later.

WHERE'S MY JACKET?
We had a nice stay at the Bandit Truckstop, in Smithville, outside of Allentown, PA. Got our water an hour early, and took off for Myrtle Beach, SC, Drove to Dunn, NC and visited with our friend Jerome and his lovely wife Angela. Had a delicious lunch and supper with them.

Drove on down to Sam's, had a 1:00am appointment there and unloaded the water. Then got a dispatch to go to Sanford,NC to pick up patio lounge chair cushions for Marcy,NY. We were at the dock for 5 hours while they ( I think made them and) loaded them one at a time. Ricky went in to get soda's and in the back of the warehouse were people sewing them. Made for a long day, finally drove on down to a restaurant called Checkers that has truck parking, a scarce commodity in some places, and got a bite to eat and a nap.

Our drive to New York was a beautiful one, the sun was shining and the flowers and green trees and grass were a site to see in the mountains and valleys. Got to the Pennsylvania-New York line and took our 10 hour break, can't idle your truck in New York. Got up and drove all the way to Marcy and did a drop and hook. Empty trailers were scarce since there were at least 5 more drivers coming to the same place, finally found one and off to Verona where the casino parking is. Laid down for a nap waiting for a dispatch. (we were #3 on the board)

It is now 10:30am and we are #1 on the board still waiting for a dispatch, a run to Texas would be nice from here. I just prefer south or west from here. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Will let you know what our next destination is....

CRAZY PLANNERS
Well, Ricky called his Fleet Manager and talked to her about the long dispatch, she called the customer and they said if we got it there by 9:00pm Friday we could drop it. Ricky said yea, I can do that. So we picked up early Friday morning and got there with a couple of hours to board again. Waited, and just after our 14 hours were up they called with a pick up in Baltimore, MD. for that night. Ricky told them no way till after 3:00am when we picked up our hours again, told them we could be there at 5:30. They said fine. Got up and took off, got there at 5:15, they were on the phone checking to see where we were when we pulled in,then the guard wouldn't let us in the gate, Called in and they didn't understand what was going on,the guard said we weren't on the list, and if we were to be a live load, they wouldn't be in till 7:30, waited till then, went to that gate, they had changed shifts out, and the new guard told us they wouldn't be open till 7:30 Monday morning. Called in, what a mess, got the load unassigned, and now came back to Pennsylvania, to get a load Sunday afternoon to be in Myrtle Beach, SC Tuesday 1:00am. What a morning..geezzzzzzz!

Saw the news about the bad weather in Missouri, called the kids, said they were fine. Prayers were answered! It has been cloudy and cool here. We are just west of Allentown,PA.Drug my sweats back out, had put them up while we were in Texas.

Was a pretty drive up from Baltimore today, the pink dogwoods were just gorgeous around York,PA. and had a few white ones mixed in. All the streams were flowing and grass was so green. Was nice even though I had been up since 2:00am.

We saw our friend Paul (Croc) in Fremont,IN when we picked up our load. Was good to see him again. He was going out to Salt Lake...where there was snow.. glad we were going the other way.

Well guess I'll go for now gonna chill a little and get a full nights sleep tonight :)

HELLO....
Ricky unhighlighted in Memphis, he got a load to Portland, Oregon and just dropped me off in Joplin. I made it home for Grandparents Day and stayed till Cody's birthday, Ricky got home for that too, got a lot of Honey Doo's done and took off again, we have been back out for 3 weeks. I saw my friends and played with my babies the first week, then I got sick with some bad cold-flu stuff that the kids had, that held on for forever, didn't even go see my friends to say bye. I was sick for awhile even after Ricky came and got me. Now I'm all back to normal..normal for me. :)
